How to Use

IndexReady is a free tool that automatically scores your website's SEO and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) readiness. No account registration required — get your results in 3 simple steps.

1. Enter a URL

Type the URL of the web page you want to analyze in the input field on the home page. You don't need to type "https://" — it's added automatically.

You can analyze any publicly accessible web page — blog posts, corporate homepages, landing pages, and more. However, pages requiring login (admin panels, member-only pages) and private network URLs cannot be analyzed.

2. Wait for Analysis

Click "Analyze" and we'll automatically fetch the following data to score 26 items. It usually takes 10–30 seconds.

  • HTML / robots.txt / sitemap
  • SEO 15 items
  • GEO 11 items
  • Score calculation

Data fetched: Page HTML / robots.txt / sitemap.xml / llms.txt & llms-full.txt / Google PageSpeed Insights API. This data is used solely for scoring and is not stored on our servers.

3. Review Results

Scores are displayed in two categories: SEO (out of 100) and GEO (out of 100). Switch between tabs to see detailed results for each check — OK, Warning, or Error.

  • llms.txt-6

Low-scoring items are highlighted in red as "Error." Prioritize fixing Error items first for the most efficient improvements. You can also export results as CSV or PDF, or share them on X (Twitter) and Facebook.

Want to see what results look like?

A sample analysis of a fictional site is published as a reference. Beyond the total score, you can see how losing items line up — for example, when SEO is high but GEO is low, structured data, FAQ patterns, and llms.txt usually become the next things to fix. Use this page to learn what to look for before running your own scan.

What We Check

SEO — 15 Items (100 points)

We check the technical optimization status for your pages to be properly indexed and ranked in Google Search. This includes title tags, meta descriptions, heading structure, PageSpeed, Core Web Vitals, OGP tags, HTTPS, canonical tags, robots.txt, sitemap.xml, and more — 15 items in total.

GEO (Generative Engine Optimization) — 11 Items (100 points)

We check whether your content is optimized to be cited and referenced by AI search engines such as ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google AI Overview. This covers llms.txt, AI crawler permissions, structured data, answer paragraph structure, E-E-A-T signals, citation quality, and more — 11 items in total.

Want to learn more about the scoring logic?

We've published a detailed blog post where the creator explains the rationale behind each item's point allocation and judgment criteria.

Scoring Logic Explained

How to Read Results

  • A higher total score (out of 200) indicates stronger readiness across both SEO and GEO
  • SEO and GEO scores are independent — you can instantly see which area needs more work
  • Each item is displayed as OK (green), Warning (yellow), or Error (red)
  • Prioritize Error items first for the most impactful improvements
  • Scores are reference values from automated analysis and do not guarantee actual search rankings or AI citations

Use Cases

Before Publishing a Blog Post

Run a quick check before hitting publish. Catch overlooked items like title tag length, heading structure, and missing structured data — all in one scan.

After a Site Redesign or CMS Migration

Verify that SEO settings carried over correctly after a redesign or platform change. Especially useful for invisible items like canonical tags, robots.txt, and sitemap.xml.

Client Reporting

In web development or SEO consulting, use IndexReady scores as quantitative evidence in reports. Results can be exported as PDF or CSV and attached directly to deliverables.

Checking AI Search Readiness

See whether your llms.txt is in place, AI crawlers are permitted, and structured data is thorough enough for AI engines to cite your content. Get an objective read on whether ChatGPT and Perplexity can access your site's information correctly.
